The 2026 NFL season is in its early weeks, with several undefeated or strong-starting squads like the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles, and San Francisco 49ers positioning themselves favorably in playoff projections amid a 14-team postseason format. Recent results, including the Rams' dominant Monday night win and the Saints' upset of the Ravens, have shifted implied probabilities, while quarterback injuries to the Giants' Jaxson Dart and potential issues for the Bears' Caleb Williams introduce uncertainty for those clubs. AFC and NFC standings remain fluid, with 0-2 teams such as the Dolphins, Texans, and Chargers facing steep climbs, and upcoming schedule strength, roster health, and divisional matchups will heavily influence the 14-team field as the campaign progresses.
