Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Premier League season as clear market leaders for most clean sheets, reflecting trader consensus on their sustained defensive dominance after conceding just 27 goals and recording 19 shutouts en route to the prior title. Mikel Arteta’s side maintained the Premier League’s largest expected goals conceded gap, anchored by the Saliba-Gabriel partnership and goalkeeper David Raya, with summer reinforcement Ezri Konsa adding depth. Manchester City trail significantly amid major transitions following the departures of Pep Guardiola and Rodri, while mid-table sides such as Everton, Aston Villa, and others sit further back due to less proven backlines and fixture challenges. Recent opening-week clean sheets reinforce Arsenal’s position, though injury absences like William Saliba and Jurriën Timber introduce early uncertainty across the 38-game schedule.
