Recent quarterback injuries and roster shifts have shaped trader consensus around the 2026 NFL Week 2 passing touchdowns leader. Tua Tagovailoa’s oblique strain and Michael Penix Jr.’s knee recovery leave the Falcons likely turning to Cooper Rush or alternatives against Carolina, while Sam Darnold’s glute issue hands Seattle’s offense to Drew Lock versus Arizona. Kyler Murray’s concussion protocol positions Carson Wentz for Minnesota against Chicago. Bryce Young benefits from a favorable matchup against Atlanta’s depleted secondary after prior strong output, and Quinn Ewers, recently acquired by Jacksonville, gains visibility in a potential expanded role behind Trevor Lawrence. Gardner Minshew and other listed options reflect similar backup elevation or schedule-driven volume in the wisdom-of-crowds pricing. These developments underscore how short-term absences and defensive vulnerabilities elevate specific passers’ touchdown upside without guaranteeing outcomes.
