This market will resolve according to the official UFC Heavyweight division champion on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. If the relevant belt is vacant at this market’s check time, or there is otherwise no champion in the specified division, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).The impending September 2026 unification bout between undisputed champion Tom Aspinall and interim champion Ciryl Gane in Paris drives the tight market split, as the victor would likely retain the belt through year-end with limited additional defenses possible. Gane's recent first-round knockout of Alex Pereira secured his interim status and highlighted his striking edge, while Aspinall's prior no-contest against Gane due to eye pokes leaves their head-to-head unresolved. The division's depth, including rising contenders like Tyrell Fortune and established names such as Alexander Volkov, adds uncertainty around long-term title stability, but the Aspinall-Gane matchup remains the dominant near-term factor shaping trader consensus on end-of-2026 outcomes.
