This market will resolve according to the official UFC Light Heavyweight division champion on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. If the relevant belt is vacant at this market’s check time, or there is otherwise no champion in the specified division, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Carlos Ulberg captured the vacant UFC light heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Jiří Procházka at UFC 327 in April 2026, establishing him as the clear frontrunner for year-end champion status. His nine-fight win streak, including victories over established contenders, combined with the division's recent turnover, underpins the market's strong consensus around the City Kickboxing product. Alex Pereira vacated the belt to pursue heavyweight opportunities and suffered a stoppage loss to Ciryl Gane in June 2026, sharply reducing his near-term return prospects at 205 pounds. Magomed Ankalaev, who briefly held the title before a first-round defeat to Pereira in late 2025, remains a credible challenger but trails significantly in implied probability. Potential injury concerns around Ulberg introduce limited uncertainty, yet the current titleholder's positioning and the sparse schedule through year-end sustain trader expectations of continuity.
