Recent statements from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick have anchored trader sentiment around standard AAA pricing for Grand Theft Auto VI, with the executive emphasizing a “fair price” and “way way way less” than the game’s delivered value in recent earnings calls. Credible leaks, including from insiders citing $60–$80 ranges for the base edition, have reinforced expectations of a $69.99 or $79.99 launch point consistent with current industry norms. Preorder listings and retailer data emerging this week further align with this trajectory, while consumer research shows a $100 tag would reduce overall revenue. Although premium editions could carry higher MSRPs, the overwhelming consensus reflects Rockstar’s history of mass-market accessibility ahead of the anticipated preorder window.
