Shintaro Imai enters this M15 Tianjin hard-court first-round matchup as the clear favorite, reflecting trader consensus around a 90-plus percent implied probability driven by his stronger recent ITF results on the surface and greater match experience at this level. Imai has posted consistent wins in comparable Asian hard-court events this summer, including strong showings in Astana and Tokyo qualifiers, while Adrian Arcon’s limited professional record features mostly lower-stakes or qualifying appearances with fewer victories against comparable opposition. No prior head-to-head exists, and neither player carries reported injury concerns or late withdrawals. The hard-court conditions favor Imai’s established baseline game, though Arcon could extend the contest if he capitalizes on any early service breaks or unforced errors from the higher-ranked Japanese player.
