Branko Djuric, the 21-year-old Serbian ranked near 600, enters this clay-court M15 clash in strong form after multiple titles and deep runs at the same Kursumlijska Banja venue earlier in 2026, including recent straight-set wins in the current draw. His clay record exceeds 60% win rate, supported by reliable serving and break-point conversion on the surface. Dmitry Popko, the more experienced Kazakh with a higher career-high ranking, has advanced through early rounds here with efficient victories but carries a mixed 2026 record across ITF and challenger events. Home-soil familiarity, recent momentum, and clay-specific results favor Djuric in trader consensus, though Popko’s veteran shot-making and experience create realistic upset potential in a low-level matchup where form can shift quickly.
