John Sperle enters the M15 Pecs semifinal on clay with a clear edge in ranking (around No. 820) and career clay results (over 58% win rate) compared to Stepan Baum (No. 1535). Sperle has advanced through the draw with straight-set victories over Lanik and Kincses plus a three-set win, showcasing consistent baseline play and return effectiveness on the surface. Baum, a 23-year-old Czech, has posted strong recent form with wins over Szoke, Boros (retirement), and Drab to reach this stage, though his overall record remains limited at the ITF level. The pair has no prior head-to-head matches, leaving surface familiarity, recent momentum in Hungary, and ranking differential as the main factors traders weigh for this clay-court matchup.
