Jiaqi Wang faces Yidi Yang in the first round of the ITF W75 Tianjin on outdoor hard courts, a home-soil event for both Chinese players. Yang leads the head-to-head 6-3 overall and has won their last four meetings, mostly on hard surfaces, while holding a slight ranking edge near the low 300s compared to Wang’s mid-400s. Wang arrives in stronger recent form after strong showings in Chinese W15 events and straight-sets wins in Tianjin qualifying over Yuno Kitahara and Hikaru Sato. Both compete primarily on hard courts with limited top-level experience, making recent match fitness, serve consistency, and break-point conversion key factors in this closely matched opener.
