Lidia Encheva holds a ranking edge over Ikumi Yamazaki heading into their ITF W75 Kursumlijska Banja 3 qualifying match on clay, with the 20-year-old Bulgarian sitting near WTA No. 440 after a career-high of 415 and a strong 2026 win rate exceeding 65 percent across recent events. Yamazaki, the 24-year-old Japanese player ranked in the mid-500s, enters with solid clay-court experience but trails in current form after mixed results in the prior Banja edition. No prior head-to-head exists between the pair. Key variables include Encheva’s superior recent results and youth-driven consistency on the surface versus Yamazaki’s qualifying resilience and ability to extend matches into deciding sets. The match outcome hinges on baseline rallies and break-point conversion typical of these W75-level clay encounters.
