Incumbent Michelle Romero advanced from the June 2026 nonpartisan primary with nearly 50% of the vote, more than double the total for any challenger, positioning her for the November 3 general election runoff against Hollie Chadwick. As the sitting mayor since 2023 with prior city council experience, Romero's primary results reflect broad voter support for her record on city management and redevelopment priorities. Chadwick, a former Henderson police chief, consolidated opposition votes but trails substantially in the top-two format. The wide margin in the primary has shaped trader consensus around Romero's strong incumbency advantage heading into the general election. Shifts could still occur from changes in turnout among key local voting blocs, campaign developments on municipal issues, or unforeseen events in the remaining months.
