The even distribution of implied probabilities across nearly two dozen clubs in Peru's Liga 1 underscores a remarkably balanced 2026 campaign midway through the Apertura and Clausura phases. Alianza Lima holds the aggregate table lead with strong results, yet several sides including Los Chankas, Cienciano, Universitario, Melgar, Deportivo Garcilaso, and Cusco FC sit within striking distance on points and goal difference. Promoted outfits such as UTC Cajamarca and Deportivo Moquegua have injected additional parity, while traditional powers like Sporting Cristal and Sport Huancayo maintain realistic paths to second place through consistent home form and head-to-head results. This fluid situation, absent any runaway leader, keeps multiple contenders viable for the runner-up spot.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Peru Liga 1 for the 2026 season per the rules of Peru Liga 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Peru Liga 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
