**Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns enter the 2026 Veolia Arizona Open mixed doubles as the clear top seeds following dominant recent form, including straight-set finals wins in prior PPA events.** Several high-ranked teams are absent, including Anna Bright/Hayden Patriquin and the Johnson siblings, which opens bracket paths for lower seeds and new partnerships such as Catherine Parenteau/Jonathan Truong or Jamie Wei/CJ Klinger. The draw features a split field with Waters/Johns favored in the top half against challengers like Tyra Black/Noe Khlif and Kate Fahey/Federico Staksrud, while the bottom half pits Rachel Rohrabacher/Christian Alshon against Parris Todd/Andrei Daescu and others. Round-of-16 matches on September 17 determine quarterfinalists for September 18, with evening scheduling to mitigate extreme desert heat at Arizona Athletic Grounds. Trader consensus reflects Waters/Johns’ historical edge and the impact of roster gaps on advancement probabilities.
