The Austrian Bundesliga's 2026-27 runner-up race reflects unusual parity across a dozen clubs after LASK claimed the prior title and ended Red Bull Salzburg's long dominance. Simulations and early pre-season strength metrics show LASK, Salzburg, and Sturm Graz clustered at the top with comparable squad depth and goal differentials, while Rapid Wien, Austria Wien, Wolfsberger AC, and Grazer AK post competitive recent form and home records. Expanded league size, balanced schedules without extended byes, and limited standout injury news have kept implied probabilities tightly bunched, as no single side has separated on head-to-head trends or transfer activity entering the campaign. Trader consensus prices this outcome spread evenly because multiple realistic paths exist for any of these teams to finish immediately behind the eventual champion.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Austrian Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Austrian Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Austrian Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
