Bayern Munich enter the 2026-27 Bundesliga as clear frontrunners for another title after winning the previous two campaigns under Vincent Kompany, highlighted by a record 122 goals last season and a 5-1 opening-week victory over Stuttgart. Their squad depth, led by Harry Kane alongside Michael Olise and Luis Díaz, plus summer additions Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, underpins expectations of a dominant top-4 position. Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig under new coach Martin Demichelis, Bayer Leverkusen with Carles Martínez, and VfB Stuttgart form the main challengers for the remaining spots, bolstered by targeted signings like Dortmund’s young Greek midfielders Konstantinos Karetsas and Giannis Konstantelias. The season’s early fixtures and European commitments will test squad rotation, with promoted sides unlikely to influence the upper table.
