Toluca and Guadalajara lead early Apertura 2026 defensive metrics with the fewest goals conceded and multiple clean sheets from keepers like Raúl Rangel, reflecting strong organization and recent form that supports their elevated market positioning. Monterrey and Pachuca follow closely, drawing on established backlines, experienced goalkeepers such as Carlos Moreno, and historical defensive consistency across full seasons. Key differentiators include current goals-against averages, goalkeeper shutout rates, squad depth for fixture congestion, and home/away splits, with the wide distribution of implied probabilities underscoring how midseason injuries, tactical shifts, or momentum swings could elevate any contender in the long campaign.
