Lens, Lille, Lyon and Rennes remain locked in a tight battle for the final three Champions League qualification spots in the 2025-26 Ligue 1 season, with PSG already well clear at the summit. Lens hold a narrow lead on 67 points from 33 matches, one ahead of Lille and two clear of Lyon, while Rennes sit just one point further back. Lyon’s recent four-match unbeaten run and strong goal difference have helped stabilise their position, whereas Lens and Lille have each dropped points in key fixtures over the past fortnight. With only five rounds remaining, home fixtures against mid-table sides and direct confrontations between the contenders will determine which three clubs secure top-four finishes and the associated European revenue.
