The Chicago White Sox hold a clear lead in the AL Central standings with a record near 67-62 as of late August 2026, positioning them as the division frontrunner with roughly 30 games remaining. Their strong home performance, improved run differential, and consistent results against divisional opponents have driven the market's elevated implied probability for the White Sox. The Cleveland Guardians sit several games back with a sub-.500 mark, while the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers trail further amid weaker recent form and larger deficits. The Kansas City Royals remain far behind with minimal realistic path to the title. Trader consensus reflects the current standings gap and schedule strength, though late-season injuries, pitching rotations, or hot streaks could still shift outcomes before the regular season concludes.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League Central division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
