Texas Rangers hold a narrow AL West lead at 78-77 entering the final week, one game ahead of the Houston Astros at 77-78, with the Seattle Mariners six games back and eliminated from division contention. Recent results have favored Texas, including a 6-4 mark over their last 10 games and wins against Toronto that solidified sole possession of first place, while Houston has gone 3-7 in the same span and dropped out of the top spot after series losses. Strong starts from Jacob deGrom and Cal Quantrill have bolstered the Rangers' rotation, contrasting with Houston's recent offensive and bullpen inconsistencies. Traders price the Rangers at 58% implied probability for the division title, reflecting their slim edge in remaining schedule strength and head-to-head tiebreaker dynamics, with the Astros at 40.9% and Mariners at 0.1%.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League West division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
