Minnesota's 6th Congressional District maintains a consistent Republican lean, reflected in the current trader consensus favoring the Republican nominee at 75.5 percent. Incumbent Tom Emmer, serving as House Majority Whip, secured his party's endorsement by a wide margin at the May 2026 district convention, underscoring strong internal support ahead of the August 11 primary. On the Democratic side, Doug Chapin received his party's backing with roughly 90 percent of delegate votes the same month, positioning him as the general election challenger in this solidly Republican-leaning seat. Nonpartisan ratings from Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystal Ball classify the race as safe or solid for Republicans, consistent with the district's voting history and the limited shifts observed in recent months.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
