Incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Ezell secured the GOP nomination in Mississippi's 4th Congressional District primary on March 10, 2026, defeating challenger Sawyer Walters and advancing unopposed effectively to face Democratic state Rep. Jeffrey Hulum III in the November 3 general election. This outcome reinforces trader consensus on a Republican hold in the solidly conservative district, where Ezell won by 28 points in 2024 amid a partisan voter index favoring Republicans by over 15 points. Ezell's fundraising dominance, with incumbents far outpacing challengers as of late April, bolsters his path to victory, while absent polls or scandals keep Democratic prospects dim absent national wave shifts.
