Leaders such as Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss), Ahmad Hardy (Missouri), Cam Cook, Jadan Baugh (Florida), Mark Fletcher Jr. (Miami), and Isaac Brown (Louisville) posted between roughly 1,400–1,650 rushing yards last year, often in varied conference schemes and behind improving offensive lines. Preseason rankings highlight similar traits—vision, burst, and receiving ability—while roster depth at several programs and typical early-season usage uncertainty limit any single candidate’s separation. Conference strength, potential injury setbacks, and offensive coordinator preferences further sustain the bunched market pricing ahead of Week 1.
