Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District carries a Cook Partisan Voter Index of R+9, reflecting consistent Republican advantages in recent presidential voting. Incumbent Stephanie Bice advanced unopposed after the June 2026 Republican primary was canceled, positioning her for a general election matchup against Democrat Jena Nelson, who won her party's primary, plus independent candidates. Forecasters from the Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato's Crystal Ball rate the seat Solid or Safe Republican ahead of the November 3 contest. The district's partisan composition and Bice's incumbency have sustained the Republican Party's strong trader consensus at 87%, with limited movement from recent primary outcomes or candidate filings.
