OpenAI remains private following its record $122 billion funding round in late March 2026, which valued the company at $852 billion post-money amid $25 billion annualized revenue—equivalent to $2 billion monthly run-rate from ChatGPT and enterprise AI tools. Trader sentiment reflects caution after Wall Street Journal reports in late April detailed missed internal revenue and user growth targets, competition from Anthropic (now valued over $1 trillion), and CFO Sarah Friar's push to delay a targeted late-2026 IPO amid $17 billion projected 2026 cash burn and $600 billion compute commitments. No S-1 filing has surfaced as of mid-May, with key catalysts including potential registration statements in H2 2026 and macroeconomic risk appetite for mega-IPOs.

Resolution will be based on the primary exchange’s official listing page. In the event that the relevant figure is not displayed, another reliable source will be used.
In the event of an interruption in the course of the normal trading session on OpenAI's first day of trading (e.g., a circuit breaker or half-day), the market will resolve according to the official closing price of the abbreviated session. If no such official closing price is published, the market will resolve according to the next trading day on which an official closing price is published, treating that as the first day of trading.
