Japan dominates trader consensus in the Pokémon VGC 2026 Masters World Championships due to superior regional qualification depth and recent bracket performance at the San Francisco event. Multiple Japanese players, including Yuya Wakasugi and Takuma Yamazaki, posted top Swiss records and advanced deep into single-elimination, reflecting consistent access to high-level practice and a deep pool of experienced competitors under Regulation M-B. Other regions trail in top-cut representation and historical Worlds success in this division. An upset remains possible if non-Japanese contenders like European or North American standouts exploit specific matchup advantages or late bracket volatility, though the current field distribution makes such outcomes less probable.
