This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 23 receiving touchdowns during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season receiving touchdowns record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season receiving touchdowns record is 23, set by Randy Moss in 2007. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 23 receiving touchdowns for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 23 receiving touchdowns within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NFL single-season receiving touchdowns record stands at 23, set by Randy Moss in 2007, with only Jerry Rice reaching 22 in a strike-shortened 1987 campaign and no player exceeding 18 since Davante Adams in 2020. Entering the 2026 season, consensus projections for top wide receivers such as Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Adams center around 9-11 touchdowns amid 17-game schedules, spread target distributions, and defensive schemes that limit sustained red-zone volume. This creates near-even trader sentiment at 50% implied probability for a new record. Recent 2025 leaderboards showed a league-high of just 14 touchdowns, underscoring how factors like quarterback stability, offensive line health, and opponent coverage can swing outcomes. A dominant connection in a high-powered passing attack or favorable regression in end-zone efficiency could elevate one candidate toward the mark, while typical variance or injuries would reinforce the historical barrier.
