The Late Show with Stephen Colbert leads the Outstanding Variety Series market at 77.5% implied probability, driven by strong industry sympathy for the series’ May 2026 cancellation after 11 seasons and its record nine total Emmy nominations. Traders appear to be pricing in voter sentiment favoring a send-off win under the new area-award rules, where members simply affirm whether each nominee merits an Emmy. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, the 10-time prior champion across talk and scripted variety categories, sits at 7.4% amid expectations that its consistent excellence may still secure one of multiple possible trophies. Lower-priced entries like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Saturday Night Live, and The Daily Show trail as voters weigh legacy against the dominant Colbert narrative ahead of final-ballot closure.
