Recent weekly and daily Spotify US data show a tight race for the #2 spot behind Ella Langley's dominant "Choosin' Texas," with Malcolm Todd's "Earrings" currently leading the chase at roughly 7.5 million streams. Olivia Rodrigo's "stupid song" and "the cure," Tame Impala's "Loser," and Steve Lacy's "oh yeah?" sit within a few hundred thousand streams of each other, creating fluid positioning. Recent spikes for Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" and "Jolene" reflect renewed interest that could sustain or fade before the September 4 chart lock. Trader consensus at near-even odds across frontrunners underscores how small daily fluctuations in streams or viral moments can still swing the outcome in this narrow window.
