The 2026 Eliteserien features a tightly contested battle for second place behind runaway leaders Bodø/Glimt, whose strong early form and projected title probability have compressed implied probabilities across the chasing pack. Viking, as defending champions with consistent results, sit close in the table alongside Tromsø, while Brann, Molde, Rosenborg, and Sarpsborg 08 remain within striking distance through solid home/away splits and recent match outcomes. Mid-table sides like Lillestrøm and Vålerenga benefit from promoted-team momentum and fixture rotations that keep their runner-up paths viable. This clustering reflects a league with limited separation in squad depth and schedule strength, where small swings in form or key absences can shift European qualification spots without a clear frontrunner emerging yet.
