Both clubs enter the AFL Wildcard Final at the MCG with significant injury concerns that limit depth and continuity. Collingwood will be without Scott Pendlebury and Brayden Maynard, while monitoring Pat Lipinski’s calf and relying on returns such as Isaac Quaynor. The Western Bulldogs face questions over Tim English’s knee and Aaron Naughton’s ankle but regain Marcus Bontempelli and Bailey Dale after recent management. Recent form shows the Bulldogs rebounding with a win over Melbourne, while the Magpies suffered a heavy defeat to Brisbane. These roster uncertainties, combined with both sides’ inconsistent late-season results and the sudden-death stakes, underpin the even trader consensus reflected in current pricing. Late fitness declarations or ruck contests could shift momentum quickly in either direction.
