Jonny Tata, a 33-year-old Kiwi with domestic titles and a notable PDC debut win, benefits from substantial home-crowd support and familiarity with Auckland conditions, narrowing the gap in this single-elimination first-round match. The closely balanced implied probability reflects Tata's local edge offsetting van Veen's ranking and scoring power. A strong opening leg or high checkout percentage from Tata could sustain pressure, while any early scoring surge or composure under travel demands from van Veen would likely widen the margin quickly.
