Alex Smalley's two-shot lead after three rounds at Aronimink Golf Club has tightened the 2026 PGA Championship field, as his strong ball-striking and putting have kept him ahead of a deep group of contenders. Jon Rahm, Ludvig Åberg, and Rory McIlroy sit within striking distance on the leaderboard and in market pricing, reflecting their proven major-championship experience, recent form, and historical success on demanding parkland layouts. Scottie Scheffler's slide after a subpar third round has opened the door for others, while players like Xander Schauffele and Maverick McNealy maintain realistic paths based on current positioning and course fit. The bunched probabilities underscore how final-round scoring, wind conditions, and pressure on the back nine could still shift outcomes among this competitive pack.
