The closely matched profiles of these NFC South rivals in one of the league's weakest divisions drive trader consensus toward a series split. The Saints enter with second-year quarterback Tyler Shough building on his late-2025 surge, supported by additions like Travis Etienne and a stable offensive line under coach Kellen Moore, though defensive losses and early-season injury concerns around Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara create uncertainty. The Buccaneers lean on Baker Mayfield's experience but face questions about roster depth, defensive adjustments, and internal dynamics after a disappointing 2025 finish. With the December 20 and Week 18 contests still months away, late-season variables such as injuries, rest, and divisional implications reinforce the elevated probability assigned to neither team claiming both meetings.
