Kevin Vallejos' explosive first-round TKO of former top-15 featherweight Josh Emmett on March 14 propelled the 24-year-old unbeaten UFC prospect (4-0) into top-10 contention, yet two months later, no next opponent has been announced, leaving trader consensus tightly clustered around mid-ranked options. Arnold Allen (ranked No. 7-10, facing Melquizael Costa tomorrow), Steve Garcia (five-fight KO streak but booked vs. Diego Lopes in June), Yair Rodriguez (No. 5-6, Vallejos' post-fight callout amid recent setbacks), Aljamain Sterling (No. 4-8 after dominant win over Youssef Zalal in April), and Zalal (No. 9-10 post-loss) all represent logical stylistic tests—striking fireworks vs. grappling vets—in a crowded division where multiple winless or transitioning contenders seek momentum without title implications. This availability and parity keep implied probabilities bunched at 41-46%, reflecting the wisdom of crowds on unpredictable matchmaking.
