Borna Gojo faces Sascha Gueymard-Wayenburg in the first round of Roland Garros qualifying on outdoor red clay, where Gojo’s higher ranking near 172 and recent form—including a strong run to the Morelia Challenger title in late March with wins over Nicolas Mejia and Juan Pablo Ficovich—give him an edge in consistency. Gueymard-Wayenburg, ranked around 265, brings momentum from a January 2025 Challenger crown in Quimper but enters with a recent loss in Tunis and limited main-draw experience. Both players adapt to clay, yet Gojo’s greater ATP exposure and head-to-head familiarity in similar qualifying scenarios shape trader focus on his ability to control rallies and handle the surface’s slower pace, while any early breaks or tiebreak resilience could swing the outcome in this closely matched opener.
