Saba Purtseladze and Mert Alkaya meet in the round of 32 at the 2026 Istanbul 2 Challenger on hard courts, with Alkaya holding the higher ATP ranking near 298 compared to Purtseladze’s position around 659. Alkaya, a Turkish player competing on home soil, brings recent momentum from limited but successful main-draw appearances and a career-high ranking achieved in mid-2026. Purtseladze, whose peak came earlier at No. 237, has shown mixed results in recent challenger events, including activity on the Istanbul swing. The matchup features contrasting experience levels on the surface, with Alkaya’s local support and ranking edge shaping trader views on the implied probabilities. No major injury updates or withdrawals have altered the field ahead of the contest.
