The deep, evenly matched field of 50 FedEx Cup playoff qualifiers at Bellerive Country Club creates tight implied probabilities around 25% for numerous players in the first-round leader market. Bellerive’s length and demanding layout reward consistent ball-striking and scrambling, areas where current form leaders such as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Collin Morikawa have posted strong recent results, yet no single entrant holds a clear edge in Thursday scoring trends. Recent performances at St. Jude and prior playoff events show multiple contenders capable of low rounds on similar setups, while course conditions and potential weather variables further compress outcomes. This parity among elite ball-strikers and putters sustains the bunched pricing ahead of the opening round.
