Scottie Scheffler holds a two-shot lead entering the final round of the 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind after tying the course record with a 61 in round two and following with a steady 68. His elite approach play, recent surge in strokes gained: putting, and proven record closing out 54-hole leads—12 wins in 18 PGA Tour attempts, including his last eight—drive the overwhelming trader consensus reflected in his 99.5% implied probability. The field trails significantly behind the world No. 1, whose consistency this season has kept him atop the FedExCup standings. While golf's inherent variability leaves room for a late collapse, weather disruptions, or an unlikely surge from chasers like Matt Fitzpatrick, such outcomes remain remote given Scheffler's front-running dominance.
