Recent polls in the 2026 Georgia gubernatorial race show Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms and Republican nominee Rick Jackson in a tight contest, with the leader typically at 46-52% and modest undecided shares. Following the conclusion of both parties' primaries—including Rick Jackson's June runoff victory over Burt Jones—the general election on November 3 features a standard two-candidate matchup. Georgia law requires a majority for an outright win and triggers a runoff otherwise, but historical patterns in head-to-head statewide general elections indicate one nominee nearly always clears 50% absent significant third-party or write-in support. Current polling averages and the absence of other viable candidates underpin trader consensus favoring an outright winner.
