Alphabet's shares have traded near $343–$345 in recent sessions following a sharp post-earnings decline after Q2 2026 results showed revenue beating estimates at $119.8 billion and cloud growth of 82%, yet the stock sold off on raised full-year capex guidance to $195–205 billion amid heavy AI infrastructure spending. Year-to-date performance remains positive but well off the May peak above $400, with the latest close on August 12 near $343.50 reflecting concerns over elevated capital expenditures, AI division leadership changes, and broader tech sector rotation. Traders monitoring the August 13 close will focus on intraday momentum, Nasdaq breadth, and any fresh macroeconomic data releases that could influence near-term risk appetite and share-price thresholds.
