Letitia James maintains a strong lead in the 2026 New York Attorney General race as the Democratic incumbent seeking a third term, with traders assigning her an 82.5% implied probability. Both parties' primaries were uncontested, leaving James to face Republican nominee Saritha Komatireddy, a former federal prosecutor endorsed by President Trump. Recent Siena polling showed James ahead 54% to 36%, consistent with New York's longstanding Democratic tilt and the absence of a competitive GOP statewide victory in decades. Komatireddy at 14% reflects her law-and-order platform and federal prosecutorial record, yet structural barriers including fundraising gaps and voter registration advantages keep her positioned as the underdog ahead of the November 3 general election.
