Tyler Shough of the New Orleans Saints delivered the Week 1 passing yards lead with a career-high 410 yards on 35-of-56 passing, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in a 31-30 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions. This output topped the next closest totals from Jordan Love (387 yards) and Bryce Young (361 yards), reflecting the Saints’ high-volume passing approach under coach Kellen Moore against a Lions defense that allowed significant yardage in the second half and overtime. Shough’s performance, including key connections with Chris Olave, established the margin in real time. Market pricing at 100% for Shough aligns with official league leaders. Late stat corrections, overturned plays, or official adjustments to game logs remain the only realistic paths that could alter the recorded leader, though such changes occur infrequently in completed regular-season contests.
