The Raiders' head coach Klint Kubiak has publicly named veteran Kirk Cousins the Week 1 starter entering training camp, aligning with the team's plan to stabilize the offense with a proven NFL quarterback while developing rookie first-round pick Fernando Mendoza. Cousins holds the top spot on the depth chart ahead of Mendoza and returning signal-caller Aidan O'Connell, whose role appears limited. This setup matches recent preseason activity and official roster positioning. Trader consensus at 92% for Cousins reflects the low odds of an immediate switch, though a preseason injury or sharp decline in performance could realistically accelerate Mendoza's timeline.

In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
