This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Texas, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Collin County.James Talarico (D) and Ken Paxton (R) lead the field for the November 3, 2026, U.S. Senate general election in Collin County, a suburban Dallas-area battleground that has trended more competitive in recent cycles. Paxton, who began his political career there, faces attacks on his record and past legal matters, while Talarico has drawn large crowds and outspent Paxton heavily on television and digital advertising statewide. Recent polling shows the contest within single digits, with Talarico holding modest edges in some surveys amid strong Democratic fundraising and Republican emphasis on turnout among conservative voters. Minor candidates and write-ins remain long shots. Key factors that could shift county-level results include the effectiveness of negative campaigning, early voting patterns through late October, and any late shifts among independent or suburban voters.
