In the UEFA Champions League race for the most yellow cards, midfield enforcers like Martín Zubimendi, Declan Rice, and Mikel Merino top the field because of their high tackle volumes and frequent involvement in physical duels that often draw bookings. Zubimendi’s 7% implied probability edges the group thanks to his central positioning and aggressive pressing style in a team that contests many loose balls. Rice and Merino sit just behind at 3.5% and 3%, reflecting their defensive duties in high-stakes fixtures where fouls accumulate quickly. With a wide-open market showing no clear leader, outcomes hinge on individual discipline, fixture intensity, and how referees handle midfield battles across the remaining knockout stages.
