Coinbase (COIN) shares have rallied sharply into the week of August 24, closing at $186.49 on August 21 after gains exceeding 8% amid Bitcoin’s move above $70,000 and advancing U.S. regulatory discussions. The stock remains well below its $402 peak from late 2025 and near the lower end of its 52-week range, with Q2 results showing record 10.3% crypto trading market share yet an EPS miss. Analyst consensus targets cluster near $215–$244, reflecting expectations for revenue diversification beyond spot trading fees. With the next earnings not due until late October, short-term price action will hinge primarily on Bitcoin volatility, Treasury yields, and any progress on crypto legislation.
