The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance to $180–190 billion in April, citing unprecedented demand for AI compute from Google Cloud customers, Gemini model development, and internal workloads, with spending now expected to roughly double the $91 billion invested in 2025. This positions Alphabet alongside Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta in a hyperscaler-wide buildout exceeding $700 billion industry-wide, supported by a June equity raise of approximately $85 billion to fund further expansion. Q2 results, due later this month, will reveal whether quarterly outlays are accelerating in line with the updated annual range amid ongoing supply constraints and competitive pressure to secure capacity ahead of rivals.
