The St. Louis Cardinals (37-29) enter the series at Target Field with stronger recent form, sitting eight games above .500 after going 7-3 in their last ten, while the Minnesota Twins (31-39) have dropped 11 of 15 and trail by 6.5 games in the AL Central. St. Louis holds a clear edge in team ERA (4.02 vs. 4.78) and features consistent production from corner outfielder Jordan Walker (.302, 17 HR, 52 RBI). The Twins face additional challenges with catcher Ryan Jeffers on the injured list and a thinner rotation depth. These standings and momentum gaps shape trader consensus around the Cardinals as the implied favorite in the interleague matchup, though the home environment at Target Field and any bullpen volatility could keep outcomes competitive.
