Mitch Marner’s record-setting natural hat trick in just 6:10 during the second period of Game 3 has propelled him to an overwhelming 85.5% implied probability as the player to record the most goals in a single Stanley Cup Final game. Playing for the Vegas Golden Knights against the Carolina Hurricanes, Marner has led all playoff scorers with 28 points and delivered four points in one period, a mark unmatched in Finals history since 1919. This recent dominance, combined with his elevated usage and matchup advantages on the top line, underpins trader consensus on his edge. Other contenders such as Mark Stone, Tomáš Hertl, or Carolina’s Sebastian Aho and Taylor Hall trail far behind, with realistic paths to challenge limited to an opponent scoring four or more goals in a remaining contest or Marner sustaining an injury that sidelines him.
